Marathon Development Produces Major Cost Savings for Atmosphere Heat Treaters

Cincinnati, OH. Marathon Sensors Inc. has introduced a significant cost-saving tool for users of carbon sensors. The Marathon CarbonSender DIN-rail transmitter provides raw signal processing, oxygen and temperature re-transmit (4-20 mA), "intelligent" probe diagnostics and probe burn-off functions, as well as RS-485 communications with ModBus protocol.

The CarbonSender transmitter module insures the integrity of sensor signals over long cable runs, and is an effective and economical alternative to the costly instrumentation set-ups that have traditionally been needed. It is applicable to any installation that employs PLC or DCS controls.

Marathon Sensors is the leading manufacturer of precision sensors and instrumentation for the full spectrum of heat treating processes, including carburizing, nitriding, vacuum, redox, sintering and brazing and annealing. The company recently achieved ISO 9001: 2000 certification. Marathon Sensors Inc. 3100 E. Kemper Rd. Cincinnati, O, 45241. www.marathonsensors.com (800) 547-1055 or 513-772-1000.
