Quantities from One to 1,000 Significant Cost Savings

Great Looking Digital, Short Run, Photographic Quality Full Color Pressure Sensitive Roll Labels Ideal For Product Labeling, Consecutive Number Sequences, Small Quantity Barcode and/or Embedded RFID “Smart” Transponders

SEBRING, OH – January 27, 2004 – To meet the rapidly growing demand for short run, high-quality, full-color pressure-sensitive roll labels, faster turnarounds and lower prices, MPI Label Systems has added HP Indigo ws4000 advanced digital press capability to its complete line of high-end production equipment.

Great looking, photographic quality, 800 dpi digital labels can be quickly produced from one to six colors in quantities from one to 1,000. The result is unmatched short run flexibility at significantly lower cost than longer run traditional offset roll label printing.

Short run digital printing opens a myriad of economical pressure-sensitive roll label options not previously available.

Examples include:

• Short run product, package or container labeling

• Ability to run same image labels in multiple languages.

• Product and industrial identification and/or sequential barcodes

• Short run labels with embedded RFID “smart” transponders

• Fast turnaround

Digital labels can be laminated, slit, and/or die cut into standard and custom label shapes. Label stock substrates can be self-adhesive gloss or matte paper, PE, PET, OPP, teslin, vinyl, PVC and metalized PET.

MPI Label Systems, with 500+ employees, seven manufacturing facilities and 35 sales offices, has specialized in pressure-sensitive, flexographic labels and labeling systems for 30+ years. The company has been a pioneer in the development of pressure-sensitive digital and RFID “smart” label production and application technology. MPI’s Machine Division is an authorized, licensed sales and service agent for CMT and Label-Aire label application equipment.
