LVDTs suit legacy OEM applications.

February 4, 2004 - Offering same form, fit, and function as products of same size and range, PRH 812 Series LVDTs consist of 0.812 in. dia, general-purpose AC-LVDTs that serve as replacement units. Available in full scale measuring ranges of +0.050 to +10 in., products offer 0.062 in. core-to-bore radial clearance. They operate from 3.0 Vrms input voltage, display low hysteresis with error less than 0.01% of FSO, and exhibit repeatability and non-linearity of less than +0.25% of FRO.

Macro Sensors Introduces Standard 0.812 Inch Diameter LVDT for OEM Legacy Applications

PRH 812 Series LVDTs Serve As Cost Effective Replacement Units

Pennsauken, NJ, February 2, 2004... Macro Sensors, a manufacturer of innovative linear and rotary position sensors, and related electronics, has added a standard series of 0.812" (2.06mm) diameter general purpose AC-LVDTs to its line of linear position sensors. Designed for use in legacy OEM applications, the Macro Sensors PRH 812 Series AC-LVDTs serve as cost-effective replacement units, offering the same form, fit and function as popular products of the same size and range in the market. The PRH 812 Series is ideal for accurate linear position measurement in a variety of OEM applications including materials testing, valve position sensing, hydraulic cylinder positioning, robotics as well as automated assembly.

Available in full scale measuring ranges of + 0.050" (+1.25 mm) to +10" (+250 mm), the PRH 812 Series of AC-LVDTs offer 0.062" (1.6 mm) core-to-bore radial clearance with the standard core supplied. Operating from a nominal 3.0Vrms input voltage, units display low hysteresis with error <0.01% of FSO, excellent repeatability and non-linearity of <+0.25% of FRO. Built for environmental robustness, the PRH 812 Series operate in temperature ranges from - 65ºF to +300ºF (-55ºC to +150ºC).

Macro Sensors offers a variety of options for the PRH 812 Series that enable a user or OEM to customize units or match them to an existing application. Options include: teflon bore liners, metric threaded cores, smaller diameter cores that offer greater core-to-bore clearance or lower core mass and mild nuclear radiation resistance.

Macro Sensors can also custom design and produce special PRH 812 LVDTs with different lead wire colors, exit points, configurations, connectors and higher temperature operation. Units operate with conventional LVDT signal conditioners available through Macro Sensors.
