New SCA/SCB Cartridge Dust Collection System

Improved performance, lower pricing

New SCA/SCB Cartridge Dust Collection System Features United Air Specialists’ Advanced Pulse Cleaning Technology, Quiet Operation, Easy Maintenance

CINCINNATI, OH -- January 16, 2004 -- Introduction of an all new cartridge dust collection system that features advance pulse cleaning technology, quiet operation and easy maintenance, is announced by United Air Specialists, Inc. (UAS). Designated the SCA/SCB Dust Collector System, the new line replaces former models FJS-A and FJS-C with two new models:

• Model SCA is designed for collection of dust from ambient air.

• Model SCB is designed for source capture applications utilizing the proven, highly effective UAS source capture extraction arms with optional halogen light in the source capture hood.

Both SCA and SCB units feature the latest advances in dust collection technology. Key features and benefits include:

• Advanced Pulse Cleaning Technology — The pulse nozzle provides for increased cleaning energy that results in the most effective reverse pulse-cleaning collector available today.

• Quiet Operation — The 1750 rpm fan/motor combination, coupled with a sound attenuated blower housing, permits operation at sound levels below 75 dBA.

• CFD Designed Cabinet — Utilizing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) design methods, laminar airflow and low filter approach velocities in the cabinet to increase cartridge performance and life.

• Quickseal Filter Access Door — Patented UAS “QuickSeal” filter access doors are standard for easy and fast access to remove and replace filter cartridges. Additionally, the design ensures proper, correct and constant compression of the filter seals.

• Easy Maintenance — Lightweight, removable dust drawings are standard for easy disposal of collected dust material. Additionally, the motor is mounted outside the cabinet for easy maintenance of the fan assembly. Also, the pulse valves are external for simple repair and maintenance.

• Cartridge Filter Options — Units are designed to accept an industry standard size filter (13.75-in. OD x 26-in. long). The SupraNet-Max filter (255 sq. ft. of media) is included in the unit’s base price. Other filter options include fire retardant coatings, washable media, spun bond polyester and a high efficiency polyester media with PTFE membrane.
