Atlas Offers New 90° C Option for CCX Advanced Cyclic Corrosion Test Cabinet

CHICAGO, IL / January 15, 2004 - Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC, a global leader in weathering testing services and technology, today announced a new high-temperature option that will enable its CCX Advanced Cyclic Corrosion Cabinet to perform many additional tests.

The option increases the maximum temperature of a CCX cabinet to 90° C. When combined with the Freezing/Cooling Option, a CCX Corrosion Cabinet now has a temperature range that spans 120 degrees on the Celsius scale from -30° to +90° C.

To test at these temperatures, modifications to the corrosion cabinet include temperature-resistant materials for dispersion towers and connectors, a temperature-resistant fiberglass shell and gel coat, a newly designed fiberglass cover with tempered-glass viewing window, and insulation around the exposure zone.

A laboratory corrosion test cabinet can replicate stresses that result in degradation including salt-saturated air and salt spray, high humidity, condensation, sunlight, and temperature variations.

The 90° C option may require upgrades to other CCX installed items including the Solution Spray, the Adjustable RH and the Auto-retractable RH Sensor Housing.

For more information about the Atlas CCX Advanced Cyclic Corrosion Cabinet with 90° option, please contact a sales representative by phone at (773) 327-4520 or via e-mail at info@atlas-mts.com. Visit the Atlas website at www.atlas-mts.com.
