Leica Microsystems Presents the New Leica RM2255 Advanced Automated Microtome
Leica Microsystems introduces a new level of microtome precision, the Leica RM2255 fully automated rotary microtome.
The new Leica RM2255 microtome embodies the latest technological innovations in microtomy. Leica Microsystems developed the Leica RM2255 based on customer feedback with a blend of proven, high-performance microtome technology and practical features that users need in the modern high-throughput histology lab. For example:
• Calibrated controls and visual aids on the new precision specimen orientation device make it easy to identify and duplicate an exact zero point or any measurable variable up to 8° along the x-y axis.
• The ability to move the blade holder laterally in order to use the entire surface of the blade edge without changing the clamping pressure has been improved to provide more convenience, precision, and stability.
• Fewer clamping levers permit easy access to the cutting area.
• The smooth-running ergonomic handwheel features an integrated quick-lock mechanism that provides user safety.
• The microtome base plate is now dynamically strengthened for overall increased stability.
• A spacious section waste tray is conveniently integrated into the overall design of the housing.
The Leica RM2255 is a strong foundation for today's histology lab. Leica's advanced precision features provide unparalleled accuracy, reliability, and user comfort.
