Techspray® Adds No-Clean Defluxer and Bulk Formulas to G3â„¢ Solvent Line

Amarillo, TX â€“ In Techsprayâ€™s continuing effort to develop superior replacements for HCFC-141b based cleaners, No-Clean Flux Remover G3, Flux Remover G3 with a brush attachment, Universal G3 Bulk Cleaner/Degreaser and Contact Cleaner, and Flux Remover G3 Bulk were introduced at Assembly Tech Expo â€™03.

No-Clean Flux Remover G3 (1634-12S) is a 12-ounce aerosol defluxer designed specifically for the removal of no-clean flux, flux from lead-free soldering, and white residue.

Flux Remover G3 (1631-5S) now comes in as a 5-ounce aerosol with a brush attachment in addition to a 16-ouce size (1631-16S).

Universal G3 Bulk Cleaner/Degreaser and Contact Cleaner (1637) and Flux Remover G3 Bulk (1638) are powerful cleaners available in 1 gallon, 5 gallon, and 54 gallon sizes. Both formulas are developed for cold cleaning applications and are not recommended for vapor degreasing or heated ultrasonic tanks.

The patented G3 Bulk formulas were developed to be direct replacements for cleaner/degreasers, defluxers, and contact cleaners containing HCFC-141b, the most widely used solvent in the electronic cleaning industries. These proprietary blends have all the advantages of 141b cleaners with 32% more cleaning ability (testing in compliance with MIL-PRF-29608(AS)).

The Environmental Protection Agency has banned the production of HCFC-141b as of January 1, 2003. While inventories are expected to be available for a few more months, users of products with this popular solvent should immediately begin evaluating alternatives.
