Stainless Steel Overbraided PTFE Hose for Demanding Applications Now Available

Handles High Temperatures and Pressures; Stocked for Quick Delivery

Southampton, PA — Immediately available from NewAge® Industries, Inc., is durable Stainless Steel Overbraided PTFE Hose. The product offers the well-known qualities of PTFE fluoropolymer, as well as many of the physical properties necessary for performance in harsh environments. Stainless Steel Overbraided PTFE Hose is used for air and fluid transfer applications in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, biomedical, laboratory, aerospace, food and beverage, appliance, automotive, OEM, MRO, general industrial, and others.

NewAge’s Stainless Steel Overbraided PTFE Hose contains a smooth core with the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material. The core is inert and will not impart taste or odor to substances flowing through it. Two core options are available: white, made from non-toxic ingredients that conform to FDA standards, or electrically conductive black to release or eliminate static charge. Both offer the standard non-stick surface for which fluoropolymers are known, long flexural life, and low permeability.

The outer jacket of series 300 stainless steel braid provides for higher pressure use and protects the PTFE core. It also reduces the possibility of kinking and helps extend the life of the hose.

Stainless Steel Overbraided PTFE Hose offers a service temperature range from –65°F to 450°F (–54°C to 232°C). It weathers well and is non-flammable. Working pressures range from 3000 psi (at 70°F) for the 3/16” nominal hose size to 750 psi for 1-1/4” (corresponding dash sizes –3 through –20 respectively). Stainless Steel Overbraided PTFE Hose meets or exceeds SAE 100R14 specifications for size and pressure.
