Red Wing Software Releases an Enhanced Version of Red Wing Payroll
Red Wing, MN - October 27, 2003 - Red Wing Software, Inc. announced today that a new version of Red Wing Payroll was released with a wide range of enhancements, including an optional alternate-language pay stub, expanded Tax Forms software, direct access to online support services, and a comprehensive Vacation/Sick Leave Wizard.
The new version, Red Wing Payroll 8.0, includes an alternate-language check stub that is set up through a simple text substitution process and can handle any number of languages. "This exciting new option is perfect for our customers in the agriculture market, as well as any other business or industry that employs non-English speaking workers," says Tom Balow, Red Wing Sales Consultant. "Now employers can rest assured that they are presenting payroll information that's easy for all employees to understand, regardless of their primary language," Balow concludes.
Three additional federal tax forms, the 940, 940 EZ and 1096, have been added to the TaxForms software in Red Wing Payroll 8.0, expanding tax reporting capabilities for customers. The federal tax forms required for the 2003 year end have also been updated.
The new version includes added Web technology to expand customers' ability to communicate with Red Wing support staff and other Red Wing Payroll users. A new feature allows users to request a technical support call directly from their Payroll system. The Enter Support Call option launches a Web page that allows a user to enter a subject, question, and other information. The process logs a support call for response via e-mail or telephone during business hours. A user can also enter the Online Red Wing Community Forum by using the Enter Forum menu selection on the Help menu. The forum is designed as a help tool for Payroll users to correspond with their peers.
The Vacation/Sick Leave Wizard will simplify the set-up process for vacation/sick leave tables by walking the user through a series of questions. The Wizard includes set up of the employee information needed to track and report the vacation/sick time used.
The Aatrix interface has been updated to use the latest State Wage Reporting forms for all 50 states. These state reports can also be E-filed for those employers who are required, because of number of employees, to file electronically.
Other features added include an expanded customizable employee list report that includes earnings and deduction amounts; improved security; a new 401(k) report that shows employee deductions and employer contributions; and advanced functionality for one-time paper check processing.
