Glenro Infrared Conveyor Oven for Clean Rooms and Food Processing

Paterson, NJ; 07 October 2003 - Glenro's electric infrared conveyor oven for clean rooms and food processing is built primarily of stainless steel for easy cleaning and regulatory compliance. The 36 inch wide wire conveyor belt moves product through the oven from 4 to 40 feet per minute. Energy delivery in the conveyor oven comes from an array of 36 medium wave quartz tube infrared heaters with gold reflective backing. Quartz tube infrared heaters provide cleanroom-quality heat transfer without contamination. The gold backing directs most of the infrared heat toward the product. This not only increases efficiency, but also eliminates the need for extensive reflectors and bulky, dust causing insulation.

The stainless steel infrared conveyor oven is rated at 58.32 kW and measures 9.75 feet long x 5.5 feet wide x 5.5 feet high. It is mounted on casters for easy height adjustment and in-plant repositioning. There are 22 inches of conveyor at both the entrance and exit ends of the infrared oven for loading and unloading product. Double-wall construction provides air cooling for the oven enclosure. A stainless steel exhaust hood facilitates air circulation. Access doors make cleaning the interior of the conveyor oven easy. Emergency stop buttons are located at entry and exit ends of the conveyor oven. The conveyor oven and control system are wash-down capable; maintaining cleanliness in a production facility is easy and efficient.

The infrared conveyor oven includes all necessary power control and operator interface components to regulate oven temperature and conveyor speed. Once set, temperature controls maintain oven output energy automatically. The control system is housed in a NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosure, which is mounted on the conveyor oven. Glenro delivers the conveyor oven prewired to minimize installation time and costs.

Headquartered in Paterson, New Jersey, Glenro Inc. provides process heating engineering and equipment for a wide range of industries and applications.
