Release date: August 1, 2003

Connor-Winfield Introduces an Economical Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillator (VCSO) for SONET Equipment at 622.08 MHz

Connor-Winfield’s new VSPLD63TE voltage controlled SAW oscillator (VCSO) provides design engineers with the lowest cost alternative for SONET equipment at 622.08 MHz. Low jitter in the SONET bandwidth is less than 0.5 pS, and overall jitter is less than 3 pS. The oscillator has an overall total frequency tolerance of 120 ppm with an absolute pull range of ±30 ppm minimum. With its low jitter and economical cost, this oscillator is a significant alternative for the SONET and SDH Telecom Equipment OEM’s.

Product Exclusive: This new VCSO has the lowest jitter for a 622.08 MHz oscillator in a 9x14 mm, low profile surface mount package

Features of the new VCSO voltage controlled oscillator include:

· Low Phase noise performance (-145dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset)

· Low Jitter < 0.5pS RMS

· Operates at 3.3 Volts

· Most economical oscillator at 622.08 MHz which meets SONET jitter requirements

· Temperature range: -40 to 85°C

· Differential LVPECL outputs

· Enable / Disable functions

· Low profile package size (0.140 inches max)

· Tape and Reel packaging

· Standard FEC frequencies available

Pricing at $35.00 each in 1,000 quantities. Available now
