Hybrid ROKU-ROKU GR-658N Provides High Precision for Either Hard Milling or Graphite Milling
Wood Dale, IL - Mitsubishi EDM is meeting the needs of manufacturers who's graphite machining needs are growing but don't want the limitations of dedicated graphite machines with its innovative Roku-Roku GR-658N Super Hybrid.
Typical dedicated graphite machines produce excessive dust, don't last very long and can't maintain high speed or accuracy over long production runs. With years of experience in the graphite machining industry, Roku-Roku has overcome these limitations with greatly improved dust collection, containment and evacuation.
It's Full Enclosure confines all dust to the machining area, keeps it suspended via intermittent air blasts, then evacuates it for clean, efficient disposal with its patented Amano PiA-30M Dust Collector. At the same time, a dual way and steel ball screw covers system protects against excessive machine
tool wear.
To achieve the high speed and accuracy necessary for machining mold materials as a viable secondary function, Roku-Roku incorporates a high rigidity, bridge-type machine structure with a single piece casting of columns and cross rails. This unique machine design minimizes distance between guide surface and spindle center providing greater stability.
Sets of pneumatic counter balancers on either side of the spindle headstock provide smooth, accurate movement during high velocity contouring and drilling. They also reduce Z Axis motor and feed screw load to greatly minimize thermal distortion.
Roku-Roku standard features include a twelve position tool changer, five position decimal input, a 320MB flashcard with Ethernet Protocol and a 32,000 RPM spindle. Many optional features are also available for specific application productivity improvement.
