Emergency Release Handle meets ANSI-RIA 15.06.


July 25, 2003 - Available for right- or left-hand operation, B30 series safety guard handle employs metal-housed, tamper-resistant safety interlock switch and steel actuator key operated by handle assembly. Assembly is available with red internal emergency-release handle, which enables operators to shut-down robot/equipment and open guard/door from inside manufacturing cell. Product comes with pre-drilled, slotted mounting plates for installation on inside or outside of guard/access door.

Emergency-Release Handle Meets ANSI-RIA 15.06

Elmsford, New York, July 16, 2003 … SCHMERSAL is pleased to announce the introduction of their new family of safety guard handle-interlock switch assemblies. The B30 series features a metal-housed, tamper-resistant safety interlock switch, and a rugged, steel actuator key operated by a durable handle assembly for easily opening and closing interlocked safety guards.

In addition, the assembly is available with a red, internal emergency-release handle, enabling an operator to shut-down the robot/other equipment and open the guard/door from inside the manufacturing cell … thus satisfying the requirements of ANSI-RIA 15.06

Units are available for right-hand or left-hand operation, and come equipped with pre-drilled, slotted mounting plates for easy installation on the inside or outside of the guard/access door. An optional lockout/tag-out accessory is also available.
