A.P.E. Launches INTRUDER Low Cost/High Precision Rework System

Key Largo, Florida, USA -- A.P. E. South announces the introduction of its new INTRUDER SMT/BGA Rework System. The INTRUDER is a low cost, high precision split vision rework unit. It incorporates a Sony notebook computer that works in conjunction with the P-300 profile storage control module. The module alone allows the system to store up to 16 ramp/soak thermal profiles independently of the computer; when driven by the notebook computer, the INTRUDER is capable of unlimited profile storage. This profile arrangement allows engineering or development to establish manufacturing profiles and to upload the information – keeping production adjustments to zero. The INTRUDER’s control system employs the user-friendly Windows® graphical user interface.

The INTRUDER’s split vision alignment system incorporates the latest technology in optical engineering and alignment design; it provides absolute control in positioning all ultra fine pitch, and BGA packaging technologies including Flip Chip bumped packages.

The unit will accommodate 16” x 18” inch boards and can be ordered with 1800 or 2400 w heater capability. As with all APE units, it employs the high power/low temperature technology developed by A.P.E.

A.P.E. South is a leading supplier of BGA/SMT/CSP rework equipment to the global electronics manufacturing Industry. For more information, visit www.ape.com, or contact the company at 106240 Overseas Highway, Key Largo, FL 33037, Tel: 305-451-4722, Fax: 305-451-3374.
