AmeristarŪ Bolstering Nation's Homeland Security Efforts

Tulsa Manufacturer's High Security Barrier Successfully Passes Department of State Anti-Ram Tests (Certification Pending)

TULSA, (Okla.) - July 2, 2003 - AmeristarŪ Fence Products' Impasse(TM) high security fence recently passed the U.S. Department of State's anti-ram certification test, making it the only commercially manufactured and nationally available fence system proven to stop a 15,000 pound vehicle traveling 40 mph.

A chain link or wire mesh fence is no longer enough to meet today's increased security demands. Our nation's critical infrastructures and key assets, including embassies, government buildings, power plants and other highly sensitive areas, require the performance, structural integrity, functionality and aesthetics that an integrated security system - like Ameristar's Impasse barrier - can deliver.

Impasse successfully tested to the Department of State's K8/L1 and K8/L2 ratings (certification pending). Impasse impedes forcible entry, increases the delay time significantly longer than other systems and provides far greater assessment and response time. The addition of Ameristar's integrated cabling system provides an anti-ram defense against forced entry, ballistic attack or vehicular impact.

"Never before has this level of protection been this affordable," said Eddy Gibbs, owner of Ameristar. "In addition to the functional and structural features Impasse delivers, our unique PermaCoatŪ powder coating provides a maintenance free, durable and beautiful finish with a 15-year warranty. And as with all Ameristar products, Impasse meets the Buy America Act because it uses all U.S.-made materials and is manufactured exclusively in Tulsa, Okla."

Impasse, the new architecturally pleasing, high security barrier system is available now, either as an anti-intrusion fence or, with the Department of State approved (certification pending) cabling system, as an anti-ram perimeter barrier.

About Ameristar
Ameristar Fence Products was chartered two decades ago to provide specialty fence products that were more affordable but did not compromise the quality level demanded by specifiers and consumers. This was accomplished by complete reformation of the way fence products were being manufactured. Product design was approached from many new perspectives: maximizing high-volume productivity, increasing strength and durability, promoting ease of installation and enhancing aesthetic appearance. A new plant was designed and built to house state-of-the-art roll-forming, metal processing and powder coating equipment. The result boosted Ameristar to its current position as the largest manufacturer of architectural metal fences in the world.
