Trim and Scrap Reclamation System Manufacturer to Unveil In-Line Repelletizer at NPE Booth #9333
New System Converts Waste Material Into Viable Pellets
Newark, DE: A new in-line repelletizing system from trim waste and scrap reclamation system developer Precision AirConvey, Newark, Del., to be unveiled at NPE 2003 booth #9333 on June 23, 2003 in Chicago, Ill. enables plastic film processors to capture edge trim and roll scrap, convert it to pellets and re-introduce it into the extrusion process via a gravimetric blender. Ideal for process engineers, plant managers, production managers and other operations professionals, the new PAC system repelletizes PE, PP, PS, ABS, metallocenes, coextrusion blends and other commodity and engineering resins in a wide range of trim widths and thicknesses at rates of up to 700 lbs./hr.
The new repelletizer, when operating in conjunction with a PAC TrimPACâ„¢ trim waste and scrap removal system, establishes a closed reclamation loop that prevents material contamination and degradation to ensure high pellet quality. Often accommodating films with print levels up to 25%, the versatile repelletizer cuts material, disposal and associated labor costs.
The PAC repelletizer includes air or water cooling, low-maintenance controls and a high quality screw and barrel in an energy-efficient, low-noise design. Set on a compact footprint, the PAC system may be customized to suit virtually any application or process configuration.
