Leica Microsystems Inc. Introduces New Forensic Comparison Macroscope
Leica Microsystems is pleased to introduce a new level of accuracy, comfort and convenience with the new Leica FS C (Forensic Solution Comparison) macroscope.
The Leica FS C features an entirely new comparison bridge design, which integrates a tilting binocular tube to accommodate examiners of all statures and to facilitate easy reach and a natural body position. Automation and motorization allow synchronous control of both stages, as well as remote positioning of stage and focus controls for ultimate comfort. The central control unit, which operates the comparison bridge, is conveniently located at the base of the instrument.
The new Leica FS C makes it easy to achieve superior, reproducible images. Side-by-side or superimposed image comparison can be done at the touch of a button. Also, new long working distance (60mm) Plan apochromatically-corrected objectives provide clear, crisp, high contrast images with the highest color correction characteristics in the industry.
The system's built-in 5x magnification changer expands the magnification range from 4x to 60x and provides up to 8 discrete magnification settings to assure measurement reproducibility. The user calibrates once, and the exact objective measurement remains for the next time so that samples are examined under identical conditions.
