Industrial-Strength 'Category 3' Safety Mats

Elmsford, New York, June 16, 2003 … SCHMERSAL is pleased to announce the introduction of their new family of fully CE-compliant “Category 3” Safety Pressure Mats.

The industrial-strength SMS Series features a 100% active area, an actuation force of less than 10 pounds, and a rugged, riveted cable strain relief to insure long-life. Other features include a durable, non-skid surface, an IP67 submersible rating, and an easy-to-install 4--wire termination.

Accessories include a selection of three compatible safety controllers, multi-mat junction boxes, and matched trim kits for easy installation in compliance with ANSI and OSHA requirements. Standard sizes and custom sizes/shapes are available. Optional features include colored mats, high-traction surfaces, and special cable lengths.
