Cleanroom Garments Made From Gore-Tex® Fabric Provides Best Combination of Protection, Durability and Comfort

Elkton, MD, June 6, 2003—W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc., the manufacturer of GORE-TEX® fabric used in technical garments and rugged outdoor protective wear, announces the availability of GORE-TEX® Cleanroom Garments in an extended range of sizes.

GORE-TEX® fabric, the highest performing media to offer breathable comfort and flexible fit, is ideally suited to contamination control wear for critical applications. Featuring 99.9999% filtration efficiency at 0.12 microns, the fabric provides a reliable contamination barrier while allowing the release of body heat and perspiration vapor. GORE-TEX® fabric is non-shedding, anti-static, flame and chemical resistant.

GORE-TEX® Cleanroom Garments come in 22 sizes, the largest range available, and feature full zipper fronts, raglan sleeves, elastic waists and stretch fabric closures at collar and cuffs for ease of gowning and unsurpassed environmental protection from human-generated contaminants. They are designed to meet the most stringent requirements in ultra clean (nonsterile) Class 1 to Class 100 environments.

The durability of GORE-TEX® Cleanroom Garments has been proven in real-world use for over 18 years. Typical durability results are 3 years or 50 laundry cycles. Many customers report five full years of service before replacement.
