DC/AC Inverter provides wide operating-temperature range.

June 3, 2003 - Plug-and-play Series P44WD powers LCD modules backlit by 1 or 2 cold cathode fluorescent lamps. It provides up to 15 W of output power, with starting voltage up to 2400 Vrms. Select models provide up to 9 mA output current for accelerated lamp warm-up in colder operating conditions, and perform reliably over operating temperature of -86 to 185°F. Fully vacuum-encapsulated, high-voltage section on PC board provides resistance to shock, vibration, and humidity.

ERG Introduces New Plug & Play Power Solution for wide Temperature One- or Two-Lamp LCD Modules

Endicott, NY, May 2003 - The new P44WD DC-AC inverter from Endicott Research Group (ERG), Inc. provides a "plug and play" solution with high reliability and a wide operating temperature range for LCD modules backlit by one or two cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs).

It provides up to 15 watts of output power, with a starting voltage of up to 2400Vrms. Some models have up to 9 milliamps output current for accelerated lamp warm-up in colder operating conditions, and perform reliably over an operating temperature range of -30°C to +85°C (-86°F to 185°F). The P44WD also incorporates a fully vacuum-encapsulated high voltage section on the PC board for exceptional resistance to shock, vibration and humidity.

The P44WD is supplied with integrated I/O connectors and on-board PWM dimming to provide a convenient "plug and play" solution for designs in the automotive, industrial and medical markets.

The inverter is designed, manufactured and fully supported in the USA. Pricing for the P44WD is $15.98 each in production quantities. Delivery is 4 weeks A.R.O.
