Kromschroder Offers BICR Self-Recuperative Burner

April 2003

Hudson, Ohio...From Kromschroder Inc., a leading manufacturer of engineered combustion control systems for the commercial and industrial markets, comes the BICR Self-Recuperative Burner. The BICR provides economical operation and uniform tube temperatures, which increase the life of the radiant tube and reduce maintenance costs.

A high efficiency, low maintenance burner, the BICR features an energy saving, compact, modular design for use on either new or refurbished systems. The BICR Burner utilizes high velocity to promote exhaust gas recirculation of flue gases to reduce harmful emissions. The burner operates with direct ignition and on/off control. Three capacities are available from 70,000 Btu/Hr to 280,000 Btu/Hr (21 kW to 82 kW). In addition, various exhaust housing and recuperator lengths are offered to fit specific applications. The BICR Burner includes flame rod, ignition electrode, gas adjusting orifice and optional UV detector for flame supervision.

The BICR Self-Recuperative Burner can be used in industrial furnaces and oven applications where the products of combustion must be isolated from the product itself or where an internal atmosphere is employed. Whether combined with a radiant tube or used as a direct firing burner, the BICR Self-Recuperative Burner offers measurable energy savings.
