May 1, 2003 - Plates made of 17-4 PH grade stainless steel are offered in thicknesses of 3/16 through 2 in. in nearly any shape or configuration. 17-4 PH is a precipitation hardening stainless steel which combines high strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance in mechanical components, aerospace, offshore applications, pulp and paper, and food industry.

Sandmeyer Steel Company Now Offering 17-4 PH Stainless Plate

Philadelphia, PA - March 24, 2003

Sandmeyer Steel Company continues to expand its offering of quality stainless steel plate products with the addition of grade 17-4 PH to its plate inventory. 17-4 PH is a precipitation hardening stainless steel which combines high strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance in mechanical components, aerospace, offshore applications, pulp and paper, and the food industry.

Sandmeyer Steel stocks its inventory of 17-4 PH in thicknesses of
3/16" thru 2". It is available in nearly any shape or configuration required utilizing Sandmeyer's extensive in-house plate processing equipment. This grade also complements Sandmeyer Steel's existing stainless inventory and allows the Company to offer a more complete package of grades and services to their customers.

Sandmeyer. Family owned and managed, the Company is recognized as a leading producer of stainless steel and nickel alloy plate products used in processing equipment for the chemical, wastewater treatment, pulp and paper, energy, food and beverage, and high vacuum industries.
