Elastomer Couplings feature conical tappered hubs.

April 21, 2003 - SERVOMAX EK6 Couplings have elastomer element that is press fit between two precision machined coupling halves, giving them zero backlash. Elastomer insert also electrically insulates two coupling halves. Hubs are mounted axially onto shaft using conical tapered segments. Three different shore values allow user to choose dampening effect. Sizes are available for torque capacities ranging from 89–9,735 lb-in.

Elastomer Coupling with Conical Tapered Hub Series EK6

Taking up the challenge for greater technical demands in modern machine design and construction, R+W has developed the SERVOMAX EK6 series of elastomer couplings.

R+W SERVOMAX couplings have an elastomer element that is press fit between two precision machined coupling halves giving it zero backlash and guaranteed concentricity. The hubs are mounted axially onto the shaft using conical tapered segments.

The elastomer insert is available in three different shore values allowing the customer to choose how great of a dampening effect is required for the application. The elastomer insert also electrically insulates the two coupling halves.

SERVOMAX couplings are mainly used in applications requiring precise motion and a high degree of dampening like CNC milling and turning operations.

Sizes are available for torque capacities ranging from 10 Nm ( 89 in. lbs) to 1100 Nm (9735 in. lbs.).
