New Crown Stockpicker Family: Greater Worker Confidence, Greater Picking HeightsThe manufacturers of Crown lift trucks, Crown Equipment Corporation has introduced a new family of Stockpickers that combine both speed and truck stability allowing operators to work productively at heights up to 30.5 feet.
Crown’s new 3200 Series Stockpickers offer large platforms, superior visibility, masts designed for an extra measure of stability and substantial weight where it counts. The Crown Load Path Stability design distributes the weight of the load to the ground evenly, resulting in comfort and stability at various heights for the order picker. The confidence this design brings to the operator leads to improved productivity, safety and efficiency.
Electronic power steering – standard on the entire SP 3200 Series – allows smooth, precise operation with little effort. The patented Crown Elevated Braking System (EBS) applies optimum braking at elevations, eliminating abrupt stops and reducing platform sway.
The 3200 Series features four different models, SP 3205, SP 3210, SP 3220 and SP3250H, all with standard capacity ratings of 3000 pounds. The SP 3205 sets the standard for stockpicker trucks of all types across the industry. The SP 3205 handles the same capacity under 20 feet as stockpickers designed for the most
demanding, heavy-duty applications. Battery capacity satisfies typical full-shift stockpicking applications. With a larger battery compartment, the SP 3210 provides greater power over
longer durations and also offers faster travel speeds.
The versatile model SP 3220 enhances productivity with standard two-speed raise and lower functions,often necessary with platform heights reaching 26 feet. Travel speeds of 6 mph are available on standard models, while a High Speed Travel Option increases maximum speed to 6.5 mph.
The family also features the SP 3250H model that offers higher capacities at heights over any other manufacturers’ stockpickers. Designed to deliver heavy-duty performance, the SP 3250H’s standard traction motor provides the necessary power for the most demanding applications with travel speeds up to 6.5 mph.
The SP 3250H model reaches 30.5 feet with loads up to 1750 lb.
The 3200 Series also provides for the order picker a number of valuable Work Assist accessories, carefully integrated into their platform work areas. Operators benefit from options like a Work Assist fan/light package, mesh screen, fire extinguisher, universal accessory clamp and mount plate, poly storage module
and universal pad clip and hook. The mounting plate for RF terminals includes both the hardware and power connection.
Crown also designs rail and wire guidance systems for the SP 3200 Series. The rail guidance systems feature rugged,heavy gauge steel designed to take the daily pounding,typical in the most demanding applications. The Crown Wire Guidance System, compatible with various frequencies, provides unparalled reliablity and productivity.
Serviceability remains faster and easier with the SP 3200 family. Crown’s innovative SP InfoPoint™ system allows technicians to troubleshoot without schematics, wiring diagrams or service manuals for most repairs.
