New MiniSpeed Variable Speed Pressure Booster System Introduced by Bell & Gossett

Morton Grove, IL...March 28, 2003 - Bell & Gossett has introduced a new MiniSpeed Series booster system, designed to provide low cost, variable speed boosting for applications where extra pressure is needed.

The compact MiniSpeed system combines Bell & Gossett's Technologic 500 Pump Logic Controller technology and B&G's MiniBooster pumping package to boost pressure where sufficient pressure is not available or elevation is a problem. The variable speed capability of the system provides stable water supply with little or no fluctuation in pressure - leading to steady pressure and temperature at building fixtures, with the added benefits of energy savings and lower life cycle costs.

The variable speed capability of this pressure booster enhances existing pump performance in a wide range of multi-family residential and light commercial installations. Typical installations for this product include restaurants, light commercial applications, apartment and condominium buildings, and small office parks.

The easy to install and maintain system is available in one- and two-pump configurations, with simplex capacities from 20 to 110 GPM at a boost of 20 to 55 psig, and a duplex capacity that reaches 220 GPM.

Both the one- and two-pump MiniSpeed systems automatically adjust to system requirements, operating with variable speed to eliminate fluctuations in system pressure. The duplex models provide automatic alternation to permit even pump usage, and to stage pumps based on demand, or units can be sized to act as 100% standby. In addition, the Lag pump will start automatically, upon failure of the lead pump, and pump failure is indicated at the panel.

MiniSpeed Pressure Booster system standard features include:

•1 or 2 pump configuration

•20-110 GPM (simplex) and 220 GPM (duplex)

•Entire plumbing package UL listed

•High system pressure cutout

•No flow shut down (with 3.2 gallon storage tank, included)

•Integral system pressure sensor

•Manual & automatic pump alternation (duplex)

•Optional low suction pressure cutout
