Setra Systems Adds 24 VAC Excitation to Model 265 Differential Pressure Transducer

Boxborough, Mass. -- Setra Systems, Inc. has added a 24 VAC excitation to its Model 265 Series of differential pressure transducers and transmitters for HVAC System Manufacturers, designed to reduce installation costs while increasing overall operating efficiency.

The Model 265 Series transducers are ideally suited for static pressure and air velocity control, fan tracking, clean room and isolation ward pressurization, terminal box control, environmental pollution control, stack gas monitoring, furnace control, and medical instrumentation applications.

At ±1% Full Scale accuracy (optional ±0.5%,± 0.4%, ±0.25%), Setra’s Model 265 provides superior positive and negative pressure sensing required for high efficiency, air-control systems. The Model 265 detects pressure ranges as low as 0.25 in. up to 100 in. of water column full scale, with 10 PSI overpressure on all ranges. This unit can also be configured with a choice of voltage output (0-5 VDC or 0-10 VDC) or current output (4-20 mA), and 12 or 24 VDC (nominal) excitation. Additionally, the Model 265 is temperature compensated to less than 0.033% FS/°F of thermal error for operation from 0°F to 150°F.

The Model 265’s small footprint (1.89”W x 2.74”L x 1.64”H) is an ideal fit for the tightest matrix. Installation is easy with an integral mounting bracket, 1/4” O. D. tube pressure connections (for push-on tubing) conveniently located on the face of the unit, and a screw terminal strip for electrical termination.

An optional snap-on conduit enclosure (Model 892), molded from high impact Lexan®, is available for the Model 265 pressure transducer. A 1/2” conduit opening is provided for conduit piping, and a special sensor-mounting bracket is included for simple, secure installation.

Setra Systems, Inc. is a designer, developer, and manufacturer of high accuracy electronic instrumentation, which measures pressure, acceleration, and weight. Setra’s products are used by many process and manufacturing industries, federal agencies, and research laboratories.
