ATLANTA, Ga. - PETER® Drive Components offers PSV 2001 keyless locking mechanisms in industrial sizes ranging from 20 to 200 mm and 3/4 inch to 7-7/8 inches. Larger sizes are available upon request. These secure locking devices can handle torque loads of up to 50,000 ft./lbs. They provide backlash-free, 360° grip without the use of keyways that cause frequent failures, costly repairs and downtime due to wear or pounding out.
PETER Drive Components PSV 2001 keyless locking assemblies are available in stainless steel and in electroless nickel-plated finish that provides extra corrosion resistance by preserving the full torque transmission capability.
PSV 2001 mechanisms are self-releasinig, non-self-centering and economically priced. They are especially well-suited for reversing applications where keyways develop stress fractures and untimely failures. Typical applications include fastening levers, pulleys, bevel gears, sprockets and sheaves.

Corporate Information
The founder of PETER® Drive Components, Oskar E. Peter, invented and patented the first locking element in 1948. Today PETER Drive Components manufactures a product range that includes keyless locking elements, locking assemblies and shrink discs. These locking mechanisms are able to withstand extreme torque loads - even in reversing applications - without failing because their unique design eliminates the need for keyways that are prone to stress fractures and ultimately lead to equipment failure. Locking devices are frequently used on gearboxes, gear wheels, sprocket wheels, packaging machinery, conveyors, robotics applications, windmills, pumps, compressors and forestry machinery.
