Overlapp Welding Tool Features Motorized, Hand-Steered Drive
A new semi-automatic overlapp welding tool for all flexible thermoplastic materials that provides more consistent welds and faster operating speeds is being introduced by Malcom Hot Air systems of Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Malcom's LeisterŪ TriacDrive Overlapp Welding Tool features a motorized hand-steered drive with a knurled steel roller that allows constant nozzle position and speed to assure a consistent seam weld at speeds up to 10 FPM, depending upon the material and application. Suitable for virtually all flexible thermoplastics, it uses the Triac 'S' hot air tool which provides
adjustable temperatures from 70° to 1400°F and air speed control to 8 CFM.
Designed for vertical and horizontal use, Malcom's LeisterŪ TriacDrive Overlapp Welding Tool can perform the same types of welds as conventional large overlapp welding machines and weighs only 8 lbs. complete. The drive unit by itself is just 5 lbs. and accepts any LeisterŪ Triac Series Tool. Ideal for seam-welding roofing membranes, tarps, liners, and banners, it
eliminates the need for a separate heat gun and hand roller.
Malcom's LeisterŪ TriacDrive Overlapp Welding Tool is $1,556.00 complete and the drive separately is $1,166.00. Literature is available on request.
