Leyman Lift Gates Introduces 'Smart' Technology Power Units on Premium Gate Models
New MaintenanceMinder²â„¢ Power Units Eliminate Need for Hand-Held Readers; Units Monitor and Record Critical Operating Data
CINCINNATI - The first commercial lift gate power unit to incorporate "smart" technology - including the ability to record key operating data and control unit performance in low-voltage and/or high-temperature conditions -- has been introduced by Leyman Lift Gates, the leader in commercial lift gate technology for more than 40 years.
The new MaintenanceMinder² power unit, available on each of Leyman's premium gates, brings a full range of advanced functions designed to help fleets measure and record lift gate performance and operating data while protecting the gate from potentially damaging conditions. MaintenanceMinder² includes a backlit L.C.D. display that indicates key data during operation, eliminating the need for a separate, hand-held reader.
MaintenanceMinder² is capable of simultaneously storing such operating information as number of low-voltage cycles, high temperature operations, number of overweight/over-pressure operations, number of lifts/cycles and total run time on motor. The unit also includes automatic low-voltage and high-temperature cutoffs with audible warning. In addition to recording the lift gate functions the unit can be programmed to alert the user when scheduled maintenance is due and record when the work is performed.
"This is the next generation of technology in commercial lift gates, and Leyman is proud to be the first manufacturer to make these important new functions available to fleets of all sizes," said Leyman President John McHenry. "MaintenanceMinder2 is another demonstration of our commitment to helping our customers maximize vehicle productivity."
