New Superior Honing Machine Can Finish Hone a Tapered Bore
(Sarasota, FL) Superior Honing Equipment, Inc., is now marketing its Model 3VC-24 Vertical Cone Hone, the industry's first machine having the capability to finish hone a tapered bore, as well as straight or blind end bores.
Jack Harmount, President of Superior Honing Equipment, says one of the questions often asked of a honing engineer is, "Can you hone a tapered bore?" Up until now the standard answer has been, "We try not to!" Now, with the introduction of Model 3VC-24, the standard answer is likely to be, "We can do that!"
