Linear Position Sensors suit factory automation applications.

January 10, 2003 - Series 42DC process LVDT sensors are offered in measurement ranges from 1.000–20.000 in. with 8 intermediate ranges. They utilize 3-wire connection, operate from unregulated 24 Vdc, and provide output of 4–20 mA, permitting transmission of signal over long distances with immunity to noise and interference. Units have stainless steel housings with epoxy seal. Each includes integral miniature signal processor utilizing SMT and ASIC technology.

42DC Series of Process LVDT Linear Position Sensors

North Hills Pennsylvania...Sentech, Inc. announces the availability of its new 42DC series of process LVDT linear position sensors. Designed for use in factory automation or automated process control applications, the 42DC LVDTs are available in measurement ranges of from 1.000" (25.4mm) to 20.000" (508mm), with 8 intermediate ranges making them adaptable to most linear measurement applications.

The 42DC series units operate from unregulated 24V DC and give an output of 4-20mA. The 42DC series units utilize a 3 wire connection, thus not requiring expensive loop controllers for operation. The 4-20mA output permits transmission of the output signal over long distances with immunity to noise and interference that could disrupt voltage type signals.

The 42DC series units have stainless steel housings and utilize an epoxy seal for tolerance to factory environments. Each unit houses an integral miniature signal processor, utilizing SMT and ASIC technology, which provides all required electronic functions. LVDT cores are available with English or Metric threads to facilitate mounting to the object whose position is being measured.

Applications include process valve position, hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder position, roll gap measurement, Welder electrode position measurements, dimensional gaging and many other industrial position measurement requirements.

Prices start at $375.00 and delivery is from stock.
