Ceramic-Silicone Sealant handles temperatures to 2,000°F.

January 8, 2003 - Non-flammable, environmentally safe, single-part, water-dispersed Aremco-Seal™ 4030 seals porous ceramics and refractories. Formulated with viscosity of 600–1,200 cps, product is applied by brush, roller, or spray equipment, drying at room temperature in less than 1 hr with full cure in 30–60 min @ 450°F. Solids content is 40% and theoretical coverage rate at 1 mil is 535 ft²/gal. Sealant contains no volatile organic compounds.

SUMMARY

Aremco-Seal™ 4030, a new high temperature ceramic-silicone sealant developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to seal porous ceramics and refractories used in high temperature applications to 2000 °F (1093 °C).

FEATURES

Aremco-Seal™ 4030 is a single part, water-dispersed, ceramic-silicone sealant that provides exceptional moisture resistance and dielectric properties to 2000 °F (1093 °C). It was developed for use on ceramic fiberboard and other ceramic-based materials used as electrical and thermal insulation in heaters, ovens and furnaces for the automotive, electronics and plastics industries.

Aremco-Seal™ 4030 is formulated with a viscosity of 600–1,200 cps, and is applied easily by brush, roller or spray equipment. It dries at room temperature in less than one hour and cures fully in 30–60 minutes at 450 °F. The solids content is 40% and theoretical coverage rate at 1 mil is 535 ft² per gallon.

Aremco-Seal™ 4030 is a non-flammable, environmentally safe sealant containing no volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
