Timken G-Power and M-Power Single-Point Lubricators Deliver Enhanced Bearing and Machine Performance

CANTON, OH - December 12, 2002 - The Timken Company recently announced the global availability of Timken G-Power and M-Power single-point lubricators. This line of gas and motorized lubrication devices connect to existing equipment grease or lubrication fittings and apply precise amounts of lubricant to bearings, as well as chains, guideways, gears and seals. Timken G-Power and M-Power units are part of industrial business' growing portfolio of bearings, related products, and integrated services.

Proper lubrication is critical to machine performance and component longevity. Research indicates that more than 50 percent of all bearing damage is related to inadequate or improper lubrication. Timken single-point lubricators dispense a precise amount of grease over a set period of time, extending component life, reducing operations downtime, and reducing costs of manual lubrication activities.

Available in three models, Timken G-Power gas lubricators are designed for traditional industrial settings, as well as high-humidity, high-corrosion, hygienically clean and low-ambient-temperature applications. M-Power motorized lubricators feature reusable drive motors - battery or direct-wire powered - and replaceable lubrication canisters. The two motorized M-Power models can also be programmed to distribute lubrication in periodic intervals based on 100 hours of machine operating time. All Timken single-point lubrication models are filled with Timken grease. Additional greases and oils are available upon request.

"With more than 100 years of industrial experience, The Timken Company understands the importance of proper lubrication in industrial equipment operations," says Daniel E. Muller, vice president for the company's industrial distribution management group. "This line of lubricators leverages our years of tribological research and development on bearing systems to provide extended component life, as well as cost and time saving benefits for our industrial customers."

G-Power and M-Power lubricators are available from authorized Timken industrial distributors or by contacting your local Timken sales representative. To locate a Timken distributor, visit www.timken.com.
