Bourns Introduces Model CRL Low Value Chip Resistors

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Dec. 3, 2002 – Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic components and integrated solutions, today announced the introduction of the CRL series of Low Value Chip Resistors. Bourns® CRL series provides a low value resistor that can be used in current sense applications with low power loss.

The CRL series supplements the existing CR series of Bourns® chip resistors. The new series extends the range of resistance to 0.01 ohm, 100 times lower than the 1.00 ohm limit of the CR series. The CRL offers E24 values from 0.01 to 9.10 ohms and packaging sizes from 0603 to 2512. The product can be used in current sense application in both industrial and commercial applications.

Pricing and Availability

The Bourns® CRL series is available in tape-and-reel packaging. Pricing is $10.71 per thousand for 50K pieces of CRL0603, 1.0 to 9.1 ohms, 1% and $97.80 per thousand for 50K pieces of CRL2512, 1.0 to 9.1 ohms, 1%. Sample quantities are available and are offered for evaluation. Current lead time on the products is eight weeks.
