Web Guide Controller features joystick operation.
November 5, 2002 - Model RK31 remote web guide controller is equipped to control up to 10 web guides at same time. It connects to web guide driver(s) using single Serial BUS RS485 cable to facilitate electrical installation requirements. Controller can receive signals from ultrasonic, infrared, and camera sensors for line, center, or edge guiding. RK31 includes LCD display that communicates instructions for initial calibration and for setting web guide parameters.

New Web Guide Controller Sets New Standard for Ease of Use and Increased Functionality
The Double E / Re RK31 remote web guide controller is a compact (under 5 ” long; 2 ” tall) device which makes controlling your web guides easier than ever before. It features simple joystick operation with a clear LCD display that communicates step-by-step instructions for initial calibration and for setting web guide parameters. Unlike competing controllers, this display is comprehensive and easy to read, not limited to a few buttons and lights that are hard to decipher. The instructions are available in multiple languages to make operating the controller even easier. The RK31 is a fully functional controller, not just a remote device with limited functionality. In fact, the RK31 is equipped to control up to ten web guides at the same time. The controller connects to the web guide driver(s) using a single Serial BUS RS485 cable to facilitate electrical installation requirements and to minimize disturbance during operation.
The RK31 controller is able to receive signals from ultrasonic, infrared, and camera sensors for line, center, or edge guiding. It is not necessary to change the sensor carrier or the control device when various web materials demand different sensor types.

Re web guides use stepper motors for increased precision and reduced maintenance.
