Heat Exchanger cools electrical control cabinets.

October 31, 2002 - Model WW4000S water-to-air heat exchanger, housed in 19.69 x 31.50 x 7.09 in. enclosure, is suited for operation in extremely polluted and high temperature environments. Its design employs internal thermostat and 2 fans that produce 648 cfm air flow. Cooling water flow of 3.5 gpm at 50°F produces 5000 W of cooling capacity when temperature difference between water inlet and ambient is 25°K. Foamed-in-place seals provide Nema 12/IP 55 protection.

Model WW4000S Water-to-Air Heat Exchanger

Haewa Corporation of Norcross, GA introduces its new water-to-air heat exchanger, model WW4000S, for cooling electronic and electrical control cabinets. This heat exchanger extends the cooling capacity of Haewa's closed loop water-to-air heat exchangers to 5000 watts.

Housed in a very compact 19.69" W x 31.50" H x 7.09" D enclosure, the heat exchanger is designed for operation in extremely polluted and high temperature environments. The WW4000S' unique design employs two high capacity fans that produce 648 cfm of air flow. This, coupled with a cooling water flow of 3.5 gpm at a temperature of 50°F, produces 5000 watts of cooling capacity when the temperature difference between water inlet and ambient is 25° K.

An adjustable internal thermostat, factory set at 104°F, controls the fans. Normal operating parameters encompass temperatures as high as 167°F. There is no valve in the water circuit, permitting use in environments where completely clean cooling water is not available. The heat exchanger's interior baffle design precludes condensate from being sprayed into the control cabinet. Special foamed-in-place seals provide Nema 12/IP 55 protection.

Water in and out connections feature barbed fittings for secure hose connections. Two drain connections are provided for condensate removal. The exterior and interior of the cabinet is finished in a tough epoxy-polyester textured powder coated finish, light beige, RAL 7032. WW4000S heat exchangers are stocked as 115 V AC and 220V AC versions with other voltages available upon request.
