October 21, 2002 - Low alloy steel Stoody® ThermalClad® Roll Build 3 produces deposit of unlimited thickness. Sizes include 3/32 in. diameter with amperage range of 300-400, voltage range of 25-29, and wire extension range from 1 to 1¼ in.; 1/8 in. diameter for 400-500 A, 26-30 V, with wire extension of 1¼ to 1½ in.; and 5/32 in. diameter for 450-600 A, 28-32 V, with wire extension of 1¼ to 1½ in. All can be welded with company's R-20 flux. Applications include roll build up and shaft rebuilding.

Stoody® ThermaClad® Roll Build 3 Offers Superior Weldability, Strength


St. Louis - September 16, 2002 - Stoody® Roll Build 3 submerged arc welding wire is a low alloy steel designed for strength and durability. With its low carbon content, the deposit results in excellent weldability and mechanical properties.

Stoody Roll Build 3 produces a deposit of unlimited thickness, and is ideal for applications including roll build up and shaft rebuilding. It is available in 3/32" (2.4mm), 1/8" (3.2mm) and 5/32" (4.0mm) diameters, all can be welded with our R-20 flux. The 3/32" diameter wire has an amperage range of 300-400, voltage range of 25-29, and wire extension ranging from 1"- 1 ¼". The 1/8" diameter Roll Build wire has an amperage range of 400-500, a voltage range of 26-30, and a wire extension of 1 ¼"-1 ½". The 5/32" wire has an amperage range of 450-600, voltage range of 28-32, and wire extension of 1 ¼"-1 ½".
