CONTEF™ Convoluted PTFE Tubing Offers Flexibility with Excellent Chemical & Electrical Properties

Material Characteristics Remain Constant for Very Hot or Cold Applications

Southampton, PA - Now available from NewAge® Industries is CONTEF, an exceptionally versatile style of translucent PTFE fluoropolymer tubing. Designed for applications that require flexibility along with the outstanding chemical and electrical
properties of fluoropolymer, CONTEF is frequently used in the medical, aerospace, chemical, food and beverage, computer, cryogenic, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and other industries for fluid and air transfer, processing, delivery, and corrosion protection.

CONTEF's unique design combines the characteristics that PTFE fluoropolymer is well-known for—chemical resistance, non-stick properties, and a wide range of temperatures -with flexibility not readily available in similar sizes of straight-wall PTFE tubing. It also offers a vacuum rating of 29.9 in./Hg at 70°F (21°C).

CONTEF is manufactured from FDA-sanctioned ingredients and is available from stock with or without a stainless steel wire encircling the outside. Each type offers its own advantages. CONTEF Without Wire is stocked in sizes up to 4" I.D., whereas CONTEF With Wire is available only to 1-1/4" I.D. It is obtainable, through special order, with Aerospace Material Specifications (AMS-T-81914/1). CONTEF Without Wire is manufactured in longer lengths than CONTEF With Wire, too. CONTEF With Wire provides increased pressures capabilities over CONTEF Without Wire-up to 62% better -and aids in electrical grounding.

Another benefit of CONTEF's spiral construction is that it may be easily flushed clean. CONTEF is available with cuffed ends to support quick fitting attachment. Barbed fittings are recommended and available from NewAge Industries in either PVDF,
polypropylene, or brass. Hose assemblies are produced in-house on a custom basis.
