O-Z/Gedney Conduit Sealing Bushings Block Water & Gases From Entering Electrical Enclosures and Conduits

SKOKIE, IL, August 29, 2002 - Providing improved environmental protection for electrical conduits, mechanical pipes, casing and tubes, O-Z/Gedney offers its exclusive line of Conduit Sealing Bushings designed to stop damaging water, dust, or gas from entering electrical enclosures, with pressure ratings up to 100 psig.

To take advantage of O-Z/Gedney Conduit Sealing Bushings the user installs a unit inside the end of a conduit where it connects to an enclosure. The compact, easy-to-install bushing is made up of two PVC-coated metal discs with a one-piece neoprene sealing ring positioned between them. Custom drilled holes allow the cables into the enclosure, while a slot cut into the discs prevent induction heating by the individual alternating current conductors. The discs and ring are then compressed together by corrosion-proof stainless steel screws. A zinc-plated, malleable iron-locking collar is an optional feature.

O-Z/Gedney Conduit Sealing Bushings are available for use with Schedule 40 rigid conduit sizes 1-1/2 inch to 6 inch, as well as mechanical pipe, cast iron pipe and copper tubing in sizes ranging from 2 inch up to 16 inch. Models for use in core bit drilled holes or precast holes in concrete are also available.

O-Z/Gedney Conduit Sealing Bushings are UL Listed under File # E-11857.
