Laminating System processes delicate materials.

September 12, 2002 - Sheet-Fed Laminating/Die-Cutting system feeds sheets of foam through water-heated laminating station, laminates 2 layers of adhesive to top of material, and laminates substrate to bottom. It feeds sheets to optically registered die-cutter, which cuts out final product. Product is removed from matrix by knockout station onto side-exiting conveyor. Matrix is sheeter cut to conveyor for waste disposal. System uses PID loop to control tension.

New Contech Sheet-Fed Laminating/Die-Cutting System

With a design focusing on material tension, the new CONTECH Sheet-Fed Laminating/Die-Cutting System processes delicate materials easily and efficiently.

Using a PID loop to precisely control tension by ounces per linear inch, sheets of foam are fed by an automatic sheet feeder module through a water-heated laminating station. Two layers of adhesive are laminated to the top of the material while a substrate is laminated to the bottom. The sheets are then fed to an optically registered die-cutter, cutting out the final product at extremely close tolerance. The product is removed from the matrix by a knockout station onto a side-exiting conveyor - the matrix is sheeter-cut to conveyor for waste disposal.

CONTECH's custom Automation Engineering capability allows them to design, engineer, and build laminating and die-cutting systems to customer's exact specifications, making them completely compatible with existing plant equipment. CONTECH manufactures a complete line of material processing equipment including sheeters, slitters, rewinders, applicators and more.
