September 9, 2002 - Model GHS replaces 60, 80, and 100 mm cartridge spindles, with speeds of 40,000, 34,000, and 28,000 rpm, respectively. It has SKF preloaded, triplex front bearing set, ABEC 7/9 25° angular-contact, hybrid, ceramic bearings on nose end, and single-bearing back end. Axial and radial run-out is .0001 in. With spring preload and synthetic grease lubrication, GHS offers air-seal nose end and air-actuated, power-draw bar system with taper air-blast cleaning.

Introducing GHS™ High Speed Motorized Cartridge Spindles

Russell T. Gilman, Inc., an SKF Company, introduces the GHS high speed motorized cartridge spindle. This spindle is a direct replacement for popular 60, 80 and 100mm cartridge spindles. It has a SKF preloaded triplex front bearing set ABEC 7/9 25 degree angular contact hybrid ceramic bearings nose end and single bearing back end. This high speed motorized cartridge spindle has an axial and radial runout of .0001". The GHS has spring preload and synthetic grease lubrication. This all new GHS has an air seal nose end and air actuated power draw bar system with taper air blast cleaning. This GHS has a 380 volt 3 phase liquid cooled induction motor. Sizes available are: 60mm, with 1.10 kW and 40,000 RPM; 80mm, with 2.60 kW and 34,000 RPM; and 100mm, with 6.80 kW and 28,000 RPM.
