Thermistors measure temperature accurately.

September 6, 2002 - High-Precision NTC Series Thermistors measure temperatures from -50 to +110°C with precision of ±0.3°C, and are available in all resistance-temperature curve materials. Resistance values at 25°C are available from 1 to 47 Kohms. They require no adjustment between control circuit and sensor. Standard tolerance ranges are ±1%, ±3%, and ±5%. Dissipation value is 2 mW/°C in still air, with typical thermal time constant of 15 sec. Maximum power rating is 10-15 mW at 25°C.

Selco's New High-Precison Series Thermistors Offer Accurate Thermal Sensing for Applications Requiring Exacting Temperature Control

ORANGE, Calif. - Autg. 23, 2002 - Selco Products Company has introduced a new line of High-Precision NTC Thermistors featuring temperature precision of ±0.3°C, making them ideally suited for applications that require extremely accurate temperature control compensation. The new thermistors provide low cost, high stability, and excellent thermal cycle endurance, as well as small β value tolerance and resistance. Plus, they require no adjustment between the control circuit and the sensor.

These high-performance negative temperature coefficient thermistors feature an operating temperature range of -50°C to 110°C and are available in all resistance-temperature (R/T) curve materials. Resistance values at 25°C are available from 1K ohms to 47K ohms. Standard tolerance ranges are ±1%, ±3% and ±5%. Dissipation value is 2mW/°C in still air with a typical thermal time constant of 15 seconds. Maximum power rating is 10-15mW at 25°C. The High-Precision Thermistor Series is manufactured with 0.20" tin-plated leads and a chip coating of black epoxy resin. Leads measure 1.023" in length with chips of .118" by .138".

"Selco is pleased to provide these highly accurate devices for customers that put accuracy at the top of their list when selecting the appropriate type of thermistor control," said Selco President Tim Wilkinson.

Selco's thermistor quality is assured with in-process inspection and Statistical Process Control (SPC). This process takes place at each manufacturing and assembly step. All thermistor finished products are 100% tested both electrically and mechanically to guarantee that all specification are met.
