Matrix Switch allows up to 8 users to share peripherals.

September 6, 2002 - Model 8948 RS-232 4 x 8 Matrix Switch, with both remote and manual control, has both fixed-point sharing and multiple-port sharing. Coordinates of devices to be connected can be entered with 12 front-panel pushbuttons. Unit's 4 x 8 grid of LEDs displays matrix connection status. For remote control applications, switch is controlled via RS-232 control port. Windows-based graphical user software controls switch via PC.

Share Peripherals with the New Model 8948 RS-232 4 x 8 Matrix Switch

Electro Standards Laboratories has just added the new Model 8948 RS-232 4 x 8 Matrix Switch to its extensive switch lineup. Featuring both remote and manual control, the Model 8948 allows up to eight users to share peripherals. The Matrix Switch has both fixed point sharing and multiple port sharing. The coordinates of the devices to be connected can be easily entered with 12 front-panel pushbuttons. A 4 x 8 grid of high intensity tri-state LEDs displays the matrix connection status.

For remote control applications, the matrix switch is controlled via an RS-232 control port. Electro Standards Laboratories offers Windows-based graphical user software to control the Matrix Switch via a PC. The Model 8948 Matrix Switch can be configured with just the click of a mouse.
