BOBCAD-CAM Celebrates 15th Anniversary

BOBCAD-CAM, the original makers of highly powerful yet affordable Cad-Cam software, announces their 15th year in business. This anniversary marks the release of version 18.0, BOBCAD's most advanced system to date. With over 200 new features and added capabilities, this release sets an unparalleled level of performance for BOBCAD-CAM. Some of version 18.0's new features include the ability to simultaneously view multiple windows for more powerful 3-D drawing, a user coordinate system, customizable dimensions, text along a curve and long file names. Other enhancements include dynamic rotation, shifting and zoom in 3-D along with the ability to project onto a surface. BOBCAD's powerful surface machining has also been enhanced to include removal of uncercut. There has also been an increase in the number of uncommon controllers supported. Users can now choose their own icons, which can be docked. With its expanded ability to read in DXF and IGES drawings version 18.0 can support more types of drawing elements.

Additionally, a Basic interface has been added that allows users to write enhancements, macros and other programs that interface directly with BOBCAD.
