Spectralight® Jr. The World's Most Accurate Daylight Simulation Now Available In A Portable Desktop Viewing Booth
The SpectraLight® Jr, viewing booth provides multiple light sources for critical color matching, and evaluation of color quality and uniformity. It uses the same proven filtered tungsten halogen daylight technology found in the SpectraLight III. The viewing booth is typically used for evaluation of small hand-held samples such as color chips. SpectraLight Jr. is equipped with five (5) selectable light sources for a full range of color evaluations: Simulated Daylight (D75, D65, or D50), Horizon Daylight at 2300K, Illuminant "A" (Incandescent) at 2856K, and a choice of Cool White Fluorescent (CWF), TL84, or Ultralume 30, and Ultraviolet.
Ideal for designers and color pickers in the apparel, textile, appliance, cosmetic, and graphic arts industries.
Multiple light sources permit metamerism testing. Ultraviolet can be used by itself or in combination with other light sources for the detection and evaluation of optical brighteness, whitening agents, or fluorescent dyes and pigments. Horizon daylight simulates early morning sunrise or afternoon sunset when daylight is the reddest. The use of horizon daylight assures match will be acceptable throughout the day.
Easy on the eye
The booth's interior is made from a low gloss, neutral-gray (Munsell N7 standard) material to eliminate color-viewing errors.
The handsome exterior is molded plastic with rounded corners. An easy-to-use push button membrane keypad completes the high-tech look of this aesthetically pleasing but highly functional unit.
Servicing SpectraLight Jr. is a snap. A removable diffuser gives you quick and easy access to all lamps, reflectors, and daylight filters. The daylight filters come out so you can change filters and lamps yourself, without a visit from a service technician.
Saves time and energy
SpectraLight Jr. features SmartLogic software for accelerated throughput with faster color approvals. Large, easy-to-read controls permit quick selection of light sources.
A separate on/off control for the UV source allows the selection of UV alone or with other sources.
An automatic energy-saving mode extends daylight lamp life to in excess of 2,000 hours. The system operates on 12/120 or 240 volts, reducing electrical and cooling requirements.
The easy-to-read elapsed-time meter reminds you when it's time to replace a lamp. User adjustable color temperature permits convenient calibration, with certification traceable to NIST standards. This enables you to self-certify your viewing booth.
