Marlboro, NJ: Global heavy load roller manufacturer Hilman Rollers, Marlboro, New Jersey, has unveiled the Tri-Glide, a three-point heavy load moving system that creates a stable, secure platform to safely move heavy, cumbersome equipment and extra wide loads in open or tight spaces, around corners and through doorways. Ideal for riggers, facility managers, maintenance technicians, material handling engineers, installation professionals, service crews, movers, contractors and other personnel, the new Tri-Glide features a steerable front swivel unit and adjustable-width, dual rear dolly units of heavy duty steel construction to accommodate heavy loads weighing up to 18 tons such as process equipment, printing presses, packaging machinery, power generators, CNC milling machines and other industrial equipment.
Engineered for operator ease, comfort and safety, the new Tri-Glide includes a padded, ergonomic handle set on a sure-grip steering/tow handle, which may be installed or removed by a single person in less than one minute without using any tools. The front swivel unit and both dollies are affixed with anti-slip neoprene pads that help grip the loads and assure secure handling while the Tri-Glide's four-inch low profile eases the lifting of loads onto the system. In addition, an integral toe-eye permits the secure attachment to lift trucks for motorized pulling assistance.
Offered in six, 12 and 18-metric ton capacities with a choice of easy-to-roll, low-friction nylon, polyurethane or steel wheels, the new Tri-Glide is suitable for safe, smooth rolling over concrete, coated, painted, polished, polyurethane, tile and other finished and unfinished flooring.
The low-maintenance Tri-Glide is built with sealed, anti-leak bearings that never need lubrication.
