Fluoropolymer Series suits semiconductor industry.
August 9, 2002 - PFA-FLEX UHP provides tubing, fittings, and components with environmental stress crack resistance. Capable of temperatures up to 500°F, PFA UHP provides chemical resistance to various semiconductor fluids. FEP UHP suits applications with temperatures to 401°F. THV UHP offers optical clarity and flexibility. TFM™ PTFE UHP provides smooth surfaces and creep resistance. It is also weldable to itself as well as to PTFE and PFA.

Dyneon™ Fluoropolymers for the Semiconductor Industry
Dyneon, a 3M company and one of the world's leading suppliers of fluoropolymers, has a global reputation for its new product innovation, customer responsiveness and technical support.
Used in a variety of semiconductor manufacturing processes requiring ultra high purity (UHP) products, Dyneon™ Fluoropolymers can reduce the chance that contaminants, such as metal extractables, will be released into the cleanroom environment. Applications include piping, tubing, fittings, pumps and valves; wafer handling pieces such as carriers and boats; chemical distribution manifolds; and flame-resistant clear window panels.
Dyneon offers the following products designed for semiconductor applications:
Dyneon™ PFA-FLEX UHP
Tubing, fittings and other components made with Dyneon™ PFA-FLEX UHP demonstrate improved environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) compared to standard high purity PFAs.
Dyneon™ PFA UHP
Capable of temperatures up to 260°C (500°F), Dyneon™ PFA UHP provides excellent chemical resistance to a variety of semiconductor fluids. A family of grades processable via injection molding, extrusion and compression molding is available from Dyneon.
Dyneon™ FEP UHP
Dyneon™ FEP UHP is a cost-effective alternative to PFA UHP for lower temperature applications (up to 205°C (401°F)). Non-UHP versions are also available for use in areas without strict purity requirements, such as secondary containment.
Dyneon™ THV UHP
Dyneon™ THV (available in conventional as well as UHP grades) is a unique polymer to Dyneon offering exceptional optical clarity and a range of flexibility for a variety of applications including windows, seals, gaskets and more.
Dyneon™ TFM™ PTFE UHP
Dyneon™ TFM™ PTFE provides smoother surfaces, fewer voids and better creep resistance than conventional PTFE when processed into wafer handling equipment, valve components, fluid handing systems, coatings and linings, and other devices. TFM™ PTFE is also weldable to itself as well as to PTFE and PFA, offering additional design flexibility.
Dyneon LLC, a 3M company, is one of the world's leading fluoropolymer producers with operations or representation in more than 50 countries. Headquartered in Oakdale, Minn., the company employs more than 900 people worldwide.
