RLE Technologies Adds The Falcon Lite to The Falcon Family of Monitoring Devices
RLE Technologies, provider of innovative monitoring solutions for critical facilities and/or remote locations announces the release of its latest product in the Falcon family of monitoring devices; the Falcon Lite. The Falcon Lite is a robust, cost-effective, monitoring solution, with a list price of $1095.
The Falcon Lite is a web-based monitoring and alarm notification device. The device monitors environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, power, and can also monitor alarms from critical site equipment. The wall-mount or rack-mounted device includes an internal temperature & humidity sensor, and will accept up to four digital signals (dry contact), and two analog signals (4-20mA) . The Falcon Lite will also accept images from up to five IP cameras, so a live view of a remote location can be viewed.
Just like the Falcon, the Falcon Lite uses an internal web-server. Site parameters and live camera images can be viewed from anywhere with any standard web browser. No additional software or plug-ins are required.
In addition to allowing a user to view site equipment and environmental status, the Falcon Lite will also notify parties if any alarms occur or parameters exceed user-defined limits. The device will send descriptive alarm messages to up to four e-mail addresses or cellular phones, as well as SNMP messages. An optional Modem and 232 port provides dial-up paging over land lines, cellular, or satellite connections.
The Falcon Lite, which has fewer features, but is less expensive than the standard Falcon, will fulfill most customers monitoring needs, while still fitting into smaller budgets. The device will be seen in IT closets, small server rooms, financial institutions, cleanrooms, ISPs, cellular towers, colocations, or any critical area in which environmental and power conditions must be maintained at strict levels.
RLE Technologies has been providing water leak detection systems and remote alarm panels for data centers, computer rooms, telecommunication sites and clean rooms since 1984. RLE's "blue-chip" customer base includes AT&T, Lockheed Martin, Comcast Cable, RBOC's, Time Warner, Department of Defense, and numerous large and small companies alike. In addition to its patented leak (water) detection cable, RLE also manufactures web-based alarm monitoring and notification systems designed for equipment closets, computer room racks, facilities, and/or remote (unmanned) locations.
