July 16, 2002 - PrintMaster 850si is a single tractor, rear feed, narrow format printer, and PrintMaster 852si is a dual tractor, rear and bottom feed, narrow format printer. Each printer offers print speeds of 530 cps and printheads that allow for printing up to 9-part forms. Up to 10 form profiles may be stored and recalled. Features include parallel and serial interfaces, zero tear-off distance, paper jam detection, automatic printhead gap adjustment.

100% Duty Cycle Printers Added to the PrintMaster 850 Series
BENTON HARBOR, MI-Printek, a U.S. based manufacturer of dot matrix printers, announces the immediate availability of the PrintMaster 850si, and PrintMaster 852si. The PM850si, is a single tractor, rear feed, narrow format printer, while the PM852si is a dual tractor, rear and bottom feed, narrow format printer. Both printers have a print speed of 530cps, a 100% duty cycle rating, and a high-impact printhead to allow for printing up to 9-part forms.
These two new printers are an addition to the PrintMaster 850 Series, and include a variety of features to improve productivity and uptime such as: zero tear-off distance for demand documents; paper jam detection for unattended printing; automatic printhead gap adjustment; automatic paper alignment; a page reprint feature for automatic recovery in event of a fault condition; remote printer management capabilities; a 32 character LCD display for user messages; printhead life of 500 million characters with a two-year limited warranty; and, a long-life ribbon with the lowest cost per million in its class. The printers allow the user to store and recall up to 10 different form profiles.
Both the PM850si and PM852si are designed for narrow format printing applications such as invoicing. Car rental companies, airlines, retailers, hospitals, hotels, travel agencies, and financial services firms are among the expected customers for these printers.
Parallel and serial interfaces are standard in both the PM850si and PM852si, as are a wide variety of emulations and bar codes. An optional internal Ethernet interface is available, along with a metal pedestal designed specifically for the PrintMaster Series printers.
