Vacuum Cleaner performs non-stop in harsh environments.

July 1, 2002 - CFM 3997, with direct-drive TEFC motor, collects large amounts of dust and debris without clogging. Materials travel through vacuum's multi-stage filtration system, which utilizes oversized main filters to resist premature filter clogging and help maintain maximum suction power. Materials are then deposited in 46 gallon tank, which prevents workers from having to repeatedly stop production to empty smaller tank. Automatic shut-off feature prevents overloading.

Heavy-Duty Vacuum Performs Non-Stop in Harsh Environments, Requires Minimal Maintenance

Nilfisk-Advance America's CFM 3997 is designed to withstand the tough cleaning and maintenance demands of foundries, manufacturing plants, and other industrial facilities

Malvern, Pa., June 19, 2002 - Sanitation and maintenance managers in industrial and manufacturing facilities now have a vacuum cleaner to rely on for their most challenging continuous-duty applications. Nilfisk-Advance America's powerful CFM 3997 easily collects large amounts of dust and debris without clogging. It enables workers to increase productivity by performing at maximum efficiency for long periods of uninterrupted operation.

The vacuum's minimal maintenance requirements and operational efficiency make it ideal for the continual collection of dust and debris in almost any manufacturing or industrial environment. It efficiently picks up large quantities of sand, gravel, powders, bulk solids, and other debris. Once collected, materials travel through the vacuum's multi-stage filtration system. This system utilizes oversized main filters to resist premature filter clogging and help maintain maximum suction power. The materials are then deposited in a large-capacity 46-gallon tank, which prevents workers from having to repeatedly stop production to empty a smaller tank (an optional tilt hopper increases capacity to 105 gallons). The filtration system's automatic shut-off feature prevents overloading and the associated downtime.

"Any piece of equipment that's being used continually in a harsh environment must go beyond mere performance. It must operate at maximum efficiency, around the clock if necessary, without requiring maintenance and slowing production," said Mike D'Agostino, product manager for Nilfisk-Advance America. "Plus it must be incredibly durable, resisting the harmful elements
often found on-site. Our customers' applications demand this kind of performance, and the CFM 3997 delivers."

The CFM 3997 also features:

- Low-Maintenance Operation. Direct drive TEFC motor eliminates couplings and belts, along with their associated alignment and wear problems.

- Simple Disposal. Release lever lowers the collection container bottom for easy access.

- Convenient Tool Storage. On-board storage area keeps vacuum accessories handy.

- Multiple Filtration Options. Cartridge filter version available with electro-pneumatic purging system for continuous fine powder collection.

- Standard Mechanical Filter Shaker. Provides easy shakedown of collected materials.
